Lesson number three is about how luck and risk are opposites of each other. Some people's irrational decisions may make perfect sense to them, but that's not something we should judge. This is all an experiment. We don't know what we're doing. So the best thing that we can do is try to be as cautious as possible so we could buy ourselves that cushion.
