The Importance of Being the First Voice at the Table

The sheltering thing works in that it gives you an opportunity to be the first voice at the table. It is not during alone doesn't work. You have to be creative about addressing these things in a way that's developmentally appropriate. But the bad guys are coming for your family and you darn well better see that as a credible threat and get ahead of it.
