I wouldn't necessarily have made that choice because I think the real story about just those 24 hours of what she was betrayed and the manner in which it was done was thrilling enough for me. It's funny, isn't it how plays, particularly political plays, they can take on new hues and new ways of looking at things over time. If you watch it now, not least having had those parliamentary crises of 2018, 2019 but also wider economic crisis even Parliament being repaired as it was then when Big Ben wasn't bombing,. it would feel more immediate somehow even though more time has elapsed. And essentially what is unapologetically a soap opera about a family struggling against the changing tides of history
