The Simple if Then Pattern Is the Key to Intelligent Behavior
A habit is characterized by being something like automatic and reflexive. It doesn't take thinking or effort to move from the trigger to the action because it's more hard coded. A wasp example shows us two things about habits: One is that they're not wild. They're not effortful. Another one is that they don't involve reflection. That can also be a bad thing. If you've got a bad habit, you can realize it's bad but because it's not something you kind of reflect before doing it, it's really easy to get stuck in them.
