The Fed's Practice of Paying Interest on Bank Reserves
The Federal Reserve in 2009 started the practice of actually paying interest on bank reserves held at the Fed. This was gigantic, $9 trillion subsidy to the banks. The choice that both the Democrats and the Republicans are following is what makes a recovery impossible for the United States without a change in policy. I don't see how can occur without a revolution.
