The Importance of Selectivity in Science
When I got my foot into science working as a postdoc with Chris Miller, which was a beautiful place to work. That's where I got fascinated in the question of selectivity. And so that just led next to saying like, how do you see chemistry? Well, NMR X-ray crystallography would be have the best chance of letting me look at an ion channel like a potassium channel. So I just went and pursued that again. It was really not any grand vision. It was more just, okay, what's the next thing you got to do to solve the problem? And so that was it.
