The Spanish Invasion of Catalonia
In 1795, Spain and France fought a three-day battle in Catalonia. Over 20% of the Spanish army was killed or wounded during the conflict. The coalition had no choice but to completely withdraw from the area. On July 22nd, 1795, French and Spanish diplomats signed a peace treaty in Basel, Switzerland.
