Is Standardization a Good Thing?

Do you view standardization as a good thing? Is that a positive to standardize? It is this, i think, is often misunderstood. If something can be standardized, that means it is automated. Humans are not for standardized work. That's not our skill set. And humans are currently still involved in useful creative problem solving. Repetitive action is awesome, as long as you can change it super quickly when you figure out something better.
