Clovis was still fairly young when he defeated the Visigoths in 507. He had taken the throne of a group of Frankish tribes as a teenager and within a quarter of a decade had expanded his position across lands not totally unlike modern France geographically. Clovis may have been only around 45 years of age when he passed away in the year 511 but we do not have any detail about his death. We can really see those elements of even classical world culture has really filtered into the Germanic tribes at that stage.
