The Federal Government's Obligation to Step in When the Public Markets Are Impacted
There seems to be this sense that the federal government has an obligation to step in when the public markets are impacted. Back in 2000, you had 10,000 publicly traded companies back in 2000 and now you've got 10,000 firms that are owned by private equity firms. "I do think this is a significant vulnerability that could manifest if the system remains under a lot of pressure," he says.
