I love the joy that NBA players get from making stupid shots. Bill Russell used to say that. He could never really rationalize the business of the NBA because he's like this is literally grown kids getting paid to play a game. That was his perspective which protected him from all the other stuff that was going on in society at the time. I think it's a healthy kind of perspective because it reminds you of how blessed you are to be doing what you're doing. There's so many things that you can't control in this league and injuries and whatever the cases in terms of what's going on with the team and all that but you're playing basketball man.
