Dialectics and Foreign Policy

Alex Vatanka: There's a complication within the left between pro-state department reflex and ultra leftist position on foreign policy. He says Marxist dialectics could help provide some clues as to how we should approach this contradiction in attitudes amongst the left to US foreign policy today. 'We live in a system which is a capitalist mode of production, so nations and capitalists don't navigate the world primarily as moral agents,' he says.
