I think part of it, it's more saying that Rico has the steely nerves to fight in the face of comfort. I appreciated how they made clear in the beginning that the supreme authority from which all other authority is derived is force. So like we know that in this society, if you can beat somebody with violence, then you are right. Hit pick though that gross out in the bio class at the beginning: Dizzy pukes toward the lens.
