Is CLL Curable?

Is CLL curable? Unfortunately, it's not curable, but I want to make sure that we talk about the definition of cure. We can put the patient's disease in a remission and those remissions can last for a long time. The field is moving towards combining some of these new drugs to really induce very deep and sustainable remission. Is there a role for stem cell transplant? Allogeneic stem cell transplant is a procedure that we use another person, a donor's immune system. It takes advantage of an immune attack that the donor cells make to the patient's cancer cells.
