How YouTube Becomes a Hitified Platform
Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch are all platforms offering incredible services for basically no money at all. That's phase one, bring in users, get the users in. We're losing money on everybody, but we're making it up in volume. Number two, the platform begins to court business partners who feed off of the explosive growth of users. Third, the platform begin to squeeze both sides. Shareholders are bored because the profits aren't really going up. Stage four is it doesn't serve anybody. Even Mark Zuckerberg wants to put on a VR headset and go somewhere else.
