The Different Types of Internationalization of Mobile Actors
The idea of being deadgimized or marginalized really kind of came out for us as being, I think, the major experience of most junior international faculty that we spoke to. We did see a few examples of assimilation. These tended to be faculty members who had some relatively high level of Japanese language ability and they also tended to have a senior mentor. But even those were,I think, few and far between out of the people that we speak to.
