The Impact of Elon Musk on Women Journalists
Laura Poitras: We need the political forces from the presidents and prime ministers down to take responsibility, at least to agree that it's inappropriate to troll and attack women journalists. And I'd add Elon Musk to that, having witnessed both from data and from conversations with Mariana, what happened to her after Elon Musk effectively emboldened the trolls. She says we're only really at the beginning of being able to grapple with this. But there are many things that social media companies could do. More over, there are manythings that governments could do.
