What Are Cognitive Architectures Used For?

The cognitive architecture is a way of modeling human thinking and learning. It's also used to create artificial intelligence agents like robots for example. One that I want to talk about a bit more today is called ACTR ACT-R and there's another one which I've looked into quite a lot called SOAR SOAR. These have these acronyms actually have meanings but they're very rarely referred to by their meaning so you get different Cognitive architectures with different slants as a result.
