SARS-BECO Viruses - Is There a Pattern of Evolution?
Within SARS-BECO viruses, there are clades based on the receptor binding domain. They kind of fall into three groups or four groups, depending on how you want to think of them. The clade-1 viruses include SARS and SARS-2; a number of bat-related viruses to those two. Clade-2 viruses have two giant deletions in the receptorbinding domain relative to SARS-1. And then the clade-3 viruses are kind of potentially in between.
