The Three Reasons for Loving Someone
Aristotle uses this trio of the good, the pleasant, and the useful to categorize three reasons for loving someone. You can love someone because he is useful to you. Some people are funny, and we just kind of hang around them because they make us laugh. Some people make good conversation at a dinner party; it's nice to be at that table.
