Seneca's View on Death
No one has given more attention to the question of death than roman philosopher seneca. Seneca saw his fellow, fellow romans just holding on to life at the price of any indignity. He had a respiratory illness that constantly choked him up, and when it happened, it felt like he was dying. This kind of made him comfortable with death in a way, because he tested it daily,. And it taught him to think of death as a source of liberation When you're faced with committing grave sins, just to hold on to your life gives you a sense of solidarity with your fellow human beings.
