How Did You Get to Be Chief Scientist With NOAA?

Sally Kohn: I had a really winding career path compared to anyone else who's had this role who's mainly been in straight science. So out of undergraduate, I worked in investment banking covering insurance and reinsurance. Then I got a PhD in atmospheric and oceanic sciences from UCLA; then ended up at JP Morgan as a senior climate scientist and sustainability strategist. And so he's doing that for a while and was asked then to come back and to join the Biden Harris administration as NOAA's chief scientist.
