The Problem of Randomization in a Pandemic Environment

Martin mckey is a professor of public health at the london school of hygiene and tropical medicine. He says there are clearly practical difficulties when trying to do trials in a fast paced, highly pressurized environment. The first is the issue of speed. When you have a virus growing expedentially doubling every three days or so, it doesn't take very long to go from ten cases up to ten thousand or a hundred thousand. So that is the challenge.
