Gen X and the Baby Boomer Generation

Is there a moment when baby boomers clash with their children or the generations that are following them? I mean, this is a generation the last of the course of 19 years. And so it itself is divisible in some ways in terms of when things start to happen. The word boomer has become associated with something very negative. Is that a false representation? It does feel like there's a very conservative element in this country.
