Amitai Etzioni: Conglomerates are just businesses. There is no magic here. A successful conglomerate will have good capital allication. An unsuccessful conglomerate will have a mis aplication of capital hit'll pursue growth for its own safe teternary. Most good conglomerates are have a decentralized structure without a lot of corporate bureaucracy and bloat. I think g e is notorious for its bureacracy, when jeffemofea was basically forced out in favor of larry emfoe. It's insane that one would fly around the world with not one, but two of natures biggest corporatnities.
