The Politics of Macbeth

In Macbeth, King Duncan is a medieval king. The medieval king existed only as the center of a network and oaths of fealty that are only as real as the pledge of allegiance. Once Macbeth kills his own king, whom he just defended in war, he kills fealty. He kills kingship. And so he doesn't feel like he's king. But who can express this right? James I. Why should we listen to James I ideas because he has the divine right?
