Sergey was born in 1847 and he's a bit younger than of our previous heroes. His parents were freed as serfs before the serfs were freed. He went to St. Petersburg and he became a student radical in a nihilist. And while he's there, he meets a fellow revolutionist and he's into her. They both want to kill the czar. So Sergey decides that he's going to get out of Russia for a while. The book is basically like having your own life is counterrevolutionary.
