The Geopolitics of the War in Ukraine
Energy being weaponized is a big part of this conflict wouldn't you agree? Oh absolutely and we can see the geopolitics of that pretty clearly actually even before the 24th of February so actually Schultz moved Germany away from Nord Stream essentially repudiated Nord Stream days before war began. Russia has certainly since the autumn really been quite systematically targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure in a way which I think makes things more difficult for Ukraine than they looked in the early autumn. Then there's the fact that the war has ripped up Europe's energy relationship with Russia and then that has profound consequences for Russia too.
