There's a tension sometimes in my mind between living a self-authored unorthodox life that does not conform to convention for the sake of conforming to convention, and trying to have some type of consistent moral compass. There is just like having 1500 different types of toothpaste at the supermarket having to choose one in a sense. I'm actually very envious of people who are deeply religious. It's like, you're the rules. You can choose your own. So there's a lot of this that I agree with but also wonder how we avoid sinking into a moral relativism where everything is okay.
