Nebuchadnezzar, King of the Assyrians
Nebuchadnezzar led his forces against King Arfaxad and defeated him in battle. But all who lived in the whole region disregarded the orders of Nebuchdnezzar, king of the Assyrians. Or they were not afraid of him, but looked upon him as only one man. They sent back his messengers empty-handed and shame-faced. Then he took possession of his cities and came to Ekbaktana,. plundered its markets, and turned its beauty into shame.
