The Narwhal's Horn Is a Unicorn Horn
The narwhal's horn is symbolically related to the Axis Mundi, you know, to this world column or pillar. Merrick Casabon published a book called John D and the Temple of Angels in 1659 that was meant to discredit two men who were performing seances at the time. Dr. Bauded heard something rattling around inside his house when they were moving one day; it turned out to be an old drawer full of manuscripts from these seances. The whale comes up with a bunch of eyes, like trippy sci-fi as fuck but essentially God has shown them how to create him.
