The Christian Life Must Be Different From Our Past Life, Right?

Paul is reminding us that we used to be motivated by revenge and retribution. He also wants to clearly communicate the source of mercy in this passage. We are challenged to examine whether we are living a life distinct from our former life or whether we have inadvertently drifted back into a worldly pattern of thought, actions.
