Within the affordances of judo, it's not just a visual thing. You're using far more because you're physically in contact with another human being. And so as a result of that, you're looking at essentially proprioceptive affordances. Haptic feedback. So you're essentially feeling where your opponent's weight shifts. That's why judo itself is a VI sport and there's categories in the Paralympics where players can execute judo beautifully without any visual feedback or with very limited visual feedback.
