The tie of HSC function, co-annality and chip to cardiovascular disease is something that really interested me because cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death by far. And I would say, moving beyond the cholesterol hypothesis, the idea that cholesterol or oxidized cholesterol, in particular, is the primary driver of atherosclerosis. Maybe there are other factors involved like the function of macrophages, right, in the monocytes, or inflammation or autophagy, this kind of thing.
