The Importance of Taking a Risk

A former professional baseball player wrote about his injury, which ultimately resulted in him having to leave the sport that he dedicated nearly his entire life for. The applicant described two of her mentors and then ended with a sort of a conclusory statement that those mentors inspired her to attend law school. It showcased really strong writing skills and it could have worked, but I was left with just very little sense of the applicant herself.
