The Problem With Unconditional Election
It wasn't until the pre-reformation period and leading up into the 16th century that it begins to become much more of focal issue. So there were individuals here and there even within that span of time who affirmed what we would call anachronistically a Calvinistic view of election. But what we're saying is whenever we talk about unconditional election, we are saying that God elacts individuals to salvation unconditionally.
