I remember that the Martian pods break up from the ground really yeah, look I think you're wrong Adam Look at look up for the world's there the book story. No, it doesn't like wire Martians invading from underneath the ground But it's a stunning visual. The Spielberg version Captures that sense of chaos hopelessness confusion Elder bafflement at what these aliens even want in such a wonderful way It's in the mood of it is a perfect update of what the original story was trying to do in my opinion.
