The Civil Rights Movement of the Seventies
Every single underground group of the 19 seventies was concerned first and foremost with the struggle of blacks against police brutality, racism and government oppression. The black cause remained the corps motivation of almost every significant radical during the 19 sventies. There was a primary sense begun by no more than a rading of the morning papers, and developed through the new perspectives and new analyses available to the movement. We believed third world countries would rise up and cause crises that would bring down the industrialized west. And we really thought that was going to happen. I know i did.
