The Great Excommunication

The preachers should not mix civil punishment together with spiritual penalty or excommunication. Soe he says, we maintain that the great excommunication is a purely secular pen and does not concern us who serve the church. Public obstinate sinners should not be admitted to the sacrament or other fellowship in the church until they improve their behavior and avoid this sin. This is in reference to base the fact that luther, upon receiving this great excommunication, can just be murdered walking down the streets.
