The Darkest Asian on the Planet
I've spent a lot of time floating on a surfboard out in the reef here. I don't really wear much sunscreen, so I've been trying to get about as dark as possible before I head back to the continental US. My partner John, whom I talk with here every other week, turns out a piece or more per week, 1500 words or so at the New York Times. So that's kind of how I get through it. You kind of have to schedule your day around it. It's based on what I'm working on still. But yeah, still just writing a couple times a week for the New Yorker when I get back.
