Brahms and Clara

Brahms wrote to clara in the midst of a terrible case of writers block. Clara reciprocated musically, writing one of her last compositions,. and dedicating it to her dear friend, johannes. They then took a five day vacation together, bringing along the maid to quiet any go sip, which had been steadily growing for a year. Jan swafford theorizes that if clara and brahms were ever physically intimate, this would have been the time. But there is no evidence that hat ever happened. And after this, suddenly things cool off as well.
