Do the Russian Sanctions Have Tooth?

In the age of drones, in what point does it become impossible for russia to hold territory? Because if you need a tank, the tank is just can go boom. And if they don't have tanks or armored transports, how do they get their troops back and forth from anywhere? I feel as if the troops would be so vulnerable duringn what would you call it? An occupation that in the age ofrones, you can't occupy any more. So i think we've passed some point of no return.
