Is There a Big Role for Renewables in Mining Bitcoin?
I don't see a big role for renewables in mining Bitcoin. In fact, I think the optimistic thing here is that it's kind of the opposite in that Bitcoin is allowing any high power energy source to monetize and to be sold anywhere in the world regardless of its location. So it's going to be a great subsidy for high power production all over the world. And in a time when governments are launching war on effective energy sources in order to subsidize these unreliable ones, Bitcoin is effectively flipping the script. It's launching war on government financing in order to subsidies high power energy sources.
