The NAACP and Civil Rights in Mendez

Mendez tested public school segregation in grades K through 12, like Brownwood later. Mendez v Westminster also marked the first time in federal court that plaintiffs succeeded in forbidding segregation using the argument that separate was not equal. Ruling's in favor of NAACP and civil rights came in Sipwell, the regions of University of Oklahoma in 1948, and Sweat v Painter in 1950.
