What's the Cause of Sepsis?

Scientists have made the error of looking at blood and seeing the bacteria of a certain shape, in thinking that this was the cause of the disease. Ight no, that bacterial shape was hatched because bacteria are eating this kind of debris and they have changed their shape. And those bacteria will change their form depending on what kind of self they're eating. So we have misattributed the presence of bacteria to causing dise rather than being a clean up squad that comes in and tries to eat this or  because what happens in bacterial infection is, if the bacteria over eat, they multiply.
