How Did You Get to Where You End Up?
The artist used a model called Prose Painter by Joel Simon and the Art Breeder team Studio Morphogen. You would type in text what you wanted it to be, but you could select using an Apple Pencil and an iPad. What it ended up doing was making an AI version of kind of like a glaze painting where you do very thin semi-transparent layers and stack them up over time.
