The Language of Thoughts

In order to have thoughts which are representational, then you would presumably have to have some language that those thoughts are encoded in. Would you say there is an internal language that in explicit ideas are written on? Yes. And you could only call that a language by extension. It's not a language in the sense that I could say humans have language, but monkeys don't.
