Theologians find it very difficult to understand how their systems might be inhabited. On the other hand, people who are inhabiting these structures often fail to understand the structure and will latch onto strange details about them. Contracolridge's work is really trying to address that disconnect. I think doctrines help us to inhabit the Christian story in a meaningful way.
