The Legal Test for Experts in Family Law
All judges hold a family ticket and have undergone training in this area of law. Judges don't unquestioningly appoint an expert to advise. They really examine the basis on which they are being sought. The legal test for experts is that they are necessary to resolve the issues justly. Pseudo science, not based on any established body of knowledge, will be inadmissible.
