The Only Thing to Fear Is Fear
In may of 19 32, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it, frankly, and try another. But above all, try something that's f d r encouraging americans to think about a big solution. Or as he would perhaps more eloquently say later, the only thing to fear is fear itself. And how did that election work out? Well, it was a landslide victory for roosevelt. He came into office with this extraordinary mandate from America to indeed try something new and something unprecedented.
